Pattern Making, Drafting and Draping
Beginner Pattern Making
Students learn to create basic bodice, skirt and pant blocks, understand how to make a pattern from scratch, and create a pattern from their own design.
Students acquire knowledge in specific draping techniques and learn how to drape basic blocks. Students also successfully drape their own designs, create a paper pattern from it, and construct a first prototype.
Intermediate Pattern Making
Students learn to draft classic details and styles, and to create an intermediate-level pattern design of their very own. Students will sew a prototype of their design and make necessary revisions to the pattern.
Advanced Pattern Making
Students learn to draft linings, draft an advanced innovative garment component, and create a pattern for an advanced-level design of their very own.
